For the Love of Natural Liquid DIY Hand Soap

So love this healthy, super simple and natural DIY Liquid Hand Soap recipe for my family. So much so that I've switched out all my soaps in my bathrooms and kitchen and couldn't be more pleased. A quick search on Pinterest will yield so many good variations of this simple process, and a little soap goes a long way. I used some vintage pint-sized Mason jars and love the nostalgic vibe. Prefer a foaming pump? Great…use that instead. The important thing is to pick one and start using it, knowing that you can adjust it going forward to delight your family’s personal preferences. I’ve discovered the purity and goodness found in Young Living’s essential oils and will never go back!

Key Ingredients:

3/4 cup liquid Pure-Castile soap (I use Dr. Bronner’s unscented so I can use it as a base for other DIY products as well)

3/4 cup water (some folks use distilled or boiled water for purity)

NOTE: Use 3/4 cup of ea. if you're using a Mason jar or 1/2 cup of each if you're using a plastic soap dispenser

Optional:

1 tbsp. vitamin E oil

1 tbsp. nourishing oil (such as olive, fractionated coconut, sweet almond, jojoba or vegetable glycerine)

10 drops or so of essential oil (single oil such as Lemon or tea tree or use your favorite blend)

1 tbsp. witch hazel (added for its bacteria inhibiting properties)

Process:

1.   In a pint-sized mason jar or soap dispenser, add the water first (to prevent bubbles), then the liquid castile soap, followed by the oils/optional ingredients. Shake to combine.

2.   You may want to shake the soap dispenser before using, then simply squirt a small amount on your hands as needed, rinsing with warm water. That's it...so easy!
