DIY Recycled Wine or Spirits Bottle Torch
/I woke up smiling this morning with a heartful of memories from the perfect late summer evening event at my brother's place last night. It was their 4th annual Twistapalooza, and I'm already hungry for number 5. Enjoyed a delightful concert on the lawn with lots of friends and food and laughter and dancing. It was nothing short of magical. Am refreshed this morning by the first overnight rainfall we've had in weeks, but it pales in comparison to being drenched last night by their lavish hospitality. So much attention to detail.
One of which is his super cool DIY bourbon bottle tiki torch lantern...the capture of it that I posted on Instagram last night left so many of you rightfully swooning. Rather than re-create the wheel, his inspiration for the project can be found at Design Sponge. He took the idea one step further and sleeved the threaded rod and nuts with a copper tube to add a nice finished touch. He used a Bulleit Bourbon whiskey bottle (but use what you have) and filled it with citronella tiki oil.
Consider me smitten as well, and also found this wonderful post and invaluable resource by Sugar and Charm when I went in search of more inspo this morning. So love this idea and am eager to make some of my own...it's such a simple an easy way to bring a bit of rustic charm and ambiance to our outdoor living spaces.
Be safe and enjoy, friends...blessings abundant!
